McKaig Nature Center's first, annual 5K Trail race takes place Oct 1st, 2016!
Participants will experience dirt and gravel trails, 400+ feet in elevation gain, stream crossings, meadows, bridges, and abundant scenery in this 90-acre, suburban oasis. Its a race challenging enough for serious trail runners yet conquerable for those hitting the trails for the first time. With a fantastic course, lively festival area and great cause, this is an inaugural race that’s sure to become a fall classic!

The inaugural McKaig 5K Trail Race and walk is a great way of enjoying the outdoors while supporting your local nature conservancy! Timing and registration is provided by Pretzel City Sports. Following both run and walk events, the nature center will host a post-race festival with local sponsors and a food truck! Explore our race site for more infomation on the event and what you get!
